General Terms and conditions

The following Terms and Conditions guide the use of, and commerce of our web store. This is what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

These terms govern your use of, and purchases from, the domains velourstore.com and their subdomains (henceforth: this branding site lokaltbyvelour.com) and will be valid for all your future transactions with velourstore.com. Lokalt by Velour is a sub-brand to Velour by Nostalgi with its legal identity, Velour by Nostalgi Sweden AB. On this site we will refer to Lokalt by Velour. When you want to buy anything presented on this site you will be transferred to our website www.velourstore.com

The following terms and conditions may be adjusted at a later time, does apply to the whole world, and all orders made on the webshop.  

CONTRACT AND ORDERING

You can buy our products directly through our web store velourstore.com. If you have any questions please contact our customer service for help.

All merchandise remains our property until payment is fulfilled.

Any attempts of fraud will be reported to the police. Lokalt by Velour reserves the right to cancel, hold on to, or further investigate any suspicious orders, even if delivery time is affected.

No other payment options, other than those displayed at checkout on the website velourstore.com is accepted.

You must be 18 years or older to shop, or have a guardian confirm your order. For the later, you must leave guardian's name and phone number at the checkout.

Once we have received your order, you will receive an automatic e-mail confirming your order. Please note that the confirmation e-mail is only an acknowledgement that we have received your order and not a binding acceptance of your order. A binding contract is formed when we send you a shipping confirmation e-mail.

Lokalt by Velour does not guarantee the delivery time of 2-3 weeks but our general aim is to deliver within 2-3 weeks from the confirmation of your size. In the case of a late delivery you will be contacted by e-mail.

PRODUCT INFORMATION DISCLAIMER

Velour by Nostalgi Sweden AB holds the right to have minor deviations related to how material, color, weight, measurements, or manufacturing, appear on our web store. This also includes type faults and price. In the case of a wrong price on the website we will give you the option of placing a new order with the correct price or canceling your order.

PRICES

Lokalt by Velour may change the prices of products listed on the site at any time and without any notice. Lokalt by Velour reserves the right to cancel your order prior to dispatch should we find that the price is incorrect. In such case we will notify you by e-mail. We are under no obligation to provide goods to you at an incorrect, lower price, even after a shipping confirmation has been sent to you, if the pricing error is obvious.

Shopping information

Prelaunchperiod 22/6 to 31/8-2022

We have a pre-launchprocess from launchdate 22/6- to 31/8-2022 to secure quality and delivery during the launch period. From 22/6 we will be collecting the first 50 orders and from 7/7 we will start to produce these. These 50 orders will be delivered early/mid august. From 15/7 to 31/8 our artisans have summer vacation and all orders outside the first 50 will be delivered end of September.

After prelaunchperiod: 31/8-2022…

Now, this is the period when we start to deliver in 2-3 weeks approximately

We produce the Lokalt by Velour jeans on demand, which means that we produce on order and thus do not build stock. The idea is to get you used to planning your purchase, move to slow fashion and learn to appreciate the craft. We have the following orderringprocess:

  1. We receive your order

  2. We send you an order confirmation

  3. You will receive an email with some questions to confirm your chosen size

  4. When we receive your size question answers we will begin to produce your order

  5. We will deliver in approx. 2-3 weeks from size confirmation

  6. We never produce any stock of jean in advance so it will take another 2-3 weeks if you need to exchange a size for a new one   

  7. We have an order limit of 1 size per style/wash

It is of great importance that you study our measurement chart in our Guide section.

Shipping

Lokalt by Velour ships worldwide.

When your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a tracking number via e-mail, which you can use to track your order. At any time, you can check the status of your package using the link in the shipping notification. Unclaimed packages will be returned to us. For all unclaimed packages you will be debited all fees in connection with both delivery and the return delivery, including any taxes and duties.

Shipment inside Sweden will be sent through DHL. All shipments outside Sweden are sent by UPS - United Parcel Service. The order will be sent to the address given in your personal profile, or the address you provide during the checkout process.

For shipments to the US and Norway there may be customs fees which will be paid upon arrival by customer. Prices are adjusted accordingly.

Orders from the UK are now sold excluding VAT and renders extra brokerage fee and duties for the customer after the withdraw from the EU: approximate cost of 40 Euro. These will be paid by the customer upon arrival to UPS.

Delivery times are provided as guidelines only, and do not take into account possible delays caused by any unforeseen activity.

Return and exchange

The following return policy applies to all orders made on velourstore.com worldwide, except Sweden.

You have the right to return a product and get a full refund or exchange the product, within 14 days from receiving the goods. If you change your mind about a product you have to contact our Customer Service within this time. For international orders, the customer will be charged for the freight when returning a product. After the 14 days, a return will not be accepted. Additionally, damaged products may not be returned. 

You are allowed to see if the product fits, but when returning or exchanging a product, you are held responsible for the packaging, and that the product is not damaged or worn out in any way. Velour By Nostalgi reserves the right to decline the return if the product is damaged in any way due to packaging failure or if the product is worn out. The shipping fee for returning a product is paid by the customer. 

There are no refunds or free returns on sales items; only the possibility to exchange or receive a credit if returning the product. When exchanging a sale item, you pay for the shipping cost back to Sweden. 

If the product is defective, damaged, or if the return is due to a mistake made by Velour, we will in this case bear, or reimburse the delivery cost, and we will exchange the product. Please report the claim to our Customer Service Department before returning the product.

RETUR OCH BYTE (SVERIGE) 

Distansköplagen tillämpas, och kunden har alltid rätt att returnera varan inom 14 dagar, från det att man hämtat ut paketet från ombudet, för full retur eller för att byta varan. Om kunden ångrar sig och vill returnera varan så tar denna kontakt med våran kundsupport, inom skälig tid, senast 14 dagar efter det att varan hämtas ut från ombudet.

Lokalt by Velour erbjuder kostnadsfri retur på alla ordrar på ordinarie pris inom 14 dagar efter det att kunden hämtat ut paketet. Vid retur av varor som säljs rabatterat gäller fortfarande 14 dagars returrätt, men i dessa fall står kunden för kostnaden att returnera produkten.

Kontakta våran kundsupport inför retur. Kunden får lov att testa produkten och returnera för annan storlek, annat plagg eller full retur. Vid retur av produkt så ansvarar kunden för produkten håller samma skick som då den togs emot och att denna inte är skadad eller påverkad på något sätt. Lokalt by Velour reserverar sig rätten att avböja en retur om produkten anländer skadad på grund av kundens användande eller på grund av bristande paketering vid returfrakt. 

Vid köp av nedsatt vara på utförsäljning så finns ingen möjlighet för retur och utbetalning till kund. Kunden har dock möjlighet att byta produkten mot annan vara eller få tillgodo att använda i webbutiken. 

Lokalt by Velour tillämpar konsumentköplagen samt distansköpslagen. Kunden har 3 års reklamationsrätt och kunden kan åberopa att varan är felaktig, skadad eller defekt om detta görs inom skälig tid efter det att felet märkts. Reklamationer som lämnas inom 2 månader efter det att köparen märkt felet anses vara inom skälig tid. Kunden ansvarar för att kvitto finns som kan styrka köpet.

RETUR VID KLARNA FAKTURA Om du vill skicka tillbaka beställningen behöver du först meddela butiken. Kom ihåg att skicka paketet så det går att spåra och att spara spårningsnumret. Logga sedan in här eller i klarnas app och klicka på ”Rapportera retur” på den faktura returen avser följt av ”Jag har returnerat mina varor”.

När butiken har fått tillbaka paketet justerar vi fakturan och i samband med det får du en bekräftelse av klarna via mejl. Om du valde att behålla delar av ordern kommer du också få en uppdaterad faktura så att du kan betala för varorna du har hemma.

Du kan enkelt följa fakturan genom att logga in här eller i appen efter att du har rapporterat returen.

Payment

FROM OUTSIDE SWEDEN

We offer safe payment provided by PayPal. You have the following options:

  • Credit card (MasterCard/Visa) through PayPal

  • PayPal

When using a credit card, you click on PayPal and pay through PayPal, but with credit card.

With this, you must an account at PayPal. When ordering you will receive confirmation by e-mail. When the package arrives you pick it up at your local pick-up point. All information concerning your credit card is encrypted and secured with a specific technology through Posten Sverige AB.

lokalt by velour/Velour by nostalgi Sweden AB is responsible for lokalt by velour´s handling of your personal data when interacting with us and secures that it follows applicable laws and regulations.

3. WHEN DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

3.1 In order to visit our webpage, use our size finder, buy our goods or contact us in any way, we need to collect personal data about you.

3.2 lokalt by velour collects and processes personal data about you when you visit our webpage, add products to your cart, enter and complete the checkout, reach out to our customer care, sign up for our newsletter, waitinglists and events. The information that we collect in the mentioned instances, is required to enter into an agreement, for us to fulfil the agreement and provide the services and products requested.

3.3 For all customers and users registered to our newsletter, we collect data about how you interact with our website, what information, products and services you have been interested in by reading an email or clicking a link.

3.4 For all customers we also store and handle any personal information related to past purchases.

lokalt by velour does not process any sensitive personal data, .e.g financial information, health information, religious beliefs etc. Body-related data collected and processed for the purpose of size recommendation is never used for profiling or computed on an individual level and is always aggregated.

8. PROFILING at lokalt by velour

8.1 lokalt by velour will use profiling and process your personal data to understand how you have been using our web, which of our products, services and offers you have been interested in, which of our newsletters you interacted with and which of our events you signed up to. This information is processed in order to tailor products and services to your interests.

lokalt by velour will also use profiling of personal data to understand customer demographics and behaviour in order to identify and market our products and services to new user groups.

Finally, lokalt by velour will also use profiling of personal data to avoid advertising to existing customers and subscribers on Facebook, Instagram and other social networks.

8.2 You may at any time object to the processing of personal data through profiling. If you wish to do this then just email lokalt@velour.se we will then cease processing your personal information for this purpose

9. HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

9.1 Your personal information will only be stored as long as there is a need to save them to fulfil the purposes for which the data was collected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. lokalty by velour may save the data longer if necessary to comply with legal requirements or to monitor lokalt by velour´s legal interests, such as if there is a legal process going on.

9.2 lokalt by velour saves user information for a maximum of 24 months after the customer last interacted with lokalt by velour.

9.3 lokalt by velour saves account and customer information for as long as an account or customer have an lokalt by velour account.

10. WHO DO WE TRANSFER THE PERSONAL DATA TO?

10.1 lokalt by velour may disclose your information to third parties in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Such transfers information may include, but is not limited to:

Transfer of name, address, phone number and email to logistics partners to deliver your order

Transfer of name, email and country to advertising platforms such as Facebook for profiling or for exclusion of the user from advertising on said platforms

Transfer of name, address, phone number, email to CRM tools like Mailchimp, Contentful in order to respond to provide customer support, send transactional or marketing emails

10.2 Third party which lokalt by velour discloses information to or otherwise provides information about a user, account holder or customer may use the information only for the purposes of selling and marketing lokalt by velour services and products or for the purpose of providing services related to lokalt by velour´s agreement with you as a user, account holder or customer.

10.3 Personal data may also be disclosed by lokalt by velour if it is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements or government requirements, to safeguard lokalt by velour´s legal interests or to detect and prevent fraud and other security or technical issues.

10.4 lokalt by velour may transfer your personal data to countries outside the EU / EEA, if any of lokalt by velour´s suppliers or partners are located there. If personal data is transferred to any country outside the EU / EEA, lokalt by velour will take steps to ensure that personal data remain protected and also take the necessary steps to legally transfer personal data to non-EU / EEA countries.

10.5 lokalt by velour will not sell your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission.

10.6 We reserve the right to disclose and transfer personal information about customers and subscribers to a buyer in the eventual sale of parts of or the entirety of the company velour by nostalgi Sweden AB.

11. Modifications

lokalt by velour reserves the right to occasionally make changes to our privacy policy or practices. We will post the updated policy on our website, and thus we encourage you to review this page from time to time.

12. THE PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

You should always be able to feel comfortable when you submit your personal information to us. lokalt by velour has therefore taken the security measures needed to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, change and deletion. For example, all information about users, account holders and customers is stored in a database that is protected by permission management and firewall.

13. YOUR RIGHTS

13.1 lokalt by velour is responsible for processing your personal data in accordance with applicable legislation.

13.2 lokalt by velour will, at your request or on its own initiative, rectify, disassociate, delete or supplement information that is found to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.

13.3 You are entitled to request:

13.3.1 Access to your personal information. This means that you are entitled to request a registry outline of the processing we conduct regarding your personal data. You are also entitled to receive a copy of the personal data being processed. You are entitled to once a calendar year, by written application, receive a registry extract from which personal data are registered about you, the purpose of the treatment and the recipients the information has been provided or to be disclosed. You also have the right to receive information on where the data has been retrieved if personal data have not been collected from you, the existence of automated decision making (including profiling) and the predicted period during which the data will be stored or the criteria used to determine this period. You also have the right to obtain information about your other rights listed in this paragraph in the registry extract.

13.3.2 Correction of your personal data. We will prompt you to correct the incorrect or incomplete information we process about you as quickly as possible.

13.3.3 Deletion of your personal information. This means that you are entitled to request that your personal data be removed if they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected. However, there may be legal requirements that we can not immediately delete your personal data in, for example, accounting and tax laws. We will then end the processing done for purposes other than complying with the legislation.

13.3.4 Limitation of treatment. This means that your personal information is marked so that they can only be processed for certain delimited purposes. For example, you may request a limitation when you consider your information incorrect and you have requested a correction. Meanwhile, the accuracy of the data is investigated, their treatment will be limited.

13.3.4.1 We will notify each recipient of the personal data disclosed in paragraph 10 above about any corrections or deletion of data, as well as limitation of processing of data.

13.3.5 You are entitled to data portability. It implies the right to, under certain conditions, extract and transfer your personal data in a structured, widely used, and machine-readable format to another personally responsible person.

13.3.6 You are entitled to object to personal data processing performed on the basis of a balance of interest. If you object to such treatment, we will only continue treatment if there are legitimate reasons for treatment that weigh heavier than your interests.

13.3.7 If you do not wish to process your personal data for direct marketing, you are always entitled to object to such treatment by sending an email to lokalt@velour.se. Once we have received your objection, we will cease processing your personal data for such marketing purposes.

13.5 Issuing a request. To enforce any of the above rights, please email lokalt@velour.se We will respond to any of the above requests within one business days and comply with the request within 1 month. You may issue such request up to once per year. If you wish to issue requests more frequently, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to compensate for the administrative costs of complying with the request.

14. COOKIES AND SITE STATISTICS

All who visits a website must be informed if cookies are used. When you are visiting lokalt by velour and/or velourstore.com website, cookies will be saved on in your browser. These cookies are called session cookies and is used to remember your log in on the website and your basket when you are shopping. Sessions cookies is not stored for a long period of time on your computer, but disappears when you close your browser.

If you don’t accept the use of cookies, you can turn these off in your browser so that it automatically informs you when a site is using cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will not be able to shop, due to that the basket and log in won’t work without them active.

HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT SIZE?

In the measurement guide section you will find How to measure and the sizing for each size. You will also find this Guide after choosing the product you are interested in.

Still not sure? Send us an email to lokalt@velour.se to get personal sizing advice.

When we receive your order we will ask you a few feedback sizing questions for us to be sure you have chosen the correct size. This requires a small sacrifice in time on your part but will simplify the order procedure and reduce returns. Keep in mind that it takes 2-3 weeks to get your jeans and if you need to change the size, it will take at least double the time.

WHERE IS MY PACKAGE?

We will inform you during the production process cause it takes normally 2-3 weeks to get your package. You can always email lokalt@velour.se if you have any questions regarding your delivery.

HOW DO I MAKE A RETURN OR EXCHANGE GOODS?

We will add a prepaid return shipping label in the package that you can use for returns.

We want you to leave us a note on a return document and explain why you want to return your jeans and how we can help you further.

HOW LONG DOES THE RETURN PROCESS TAKE?

When you want to return a pair of jeans we need to take care of these artisan sewn jeans and find a new buyer for these. You though do not need to wait for your money back. This will happen as soon as we receive your unused jeans.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO MAKE A RETURN OR EXCHANGE?

For international orders, the customer will be charged for the freight when returning/exchanging a product. So pay attention to our size guide. On swedish orders freight costs on returns/exchanges will be paid by Lokalt by Velour.

HOW DO REFUNDS WORK?

On international orders you will be refunded through Paypal. Don’t forget that you can use normal creditcard on Paypal platform. On Swedish orders you will be refunded through Klarna.

WHEN DO I GET MY REFUND?

As soon as we have physically received your return we will refund you.

WHAT IF MY ITEM IS DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT?

Then you shall contact lokalt@velour.se and we will sort things out.

WHAT DATA DOES lokalt by velour COLLECT ABOUT ME?

The type of data that we collect about you to lokalt.velour.se and velourstore.com depends on how you interact with us. For instance, if you’ve ordered jeans from us we have a legal obligation to fulfil that agreement and we need certain information like your name and address in order to deliver the products to you. If you’re just browsing the site, we collect anonymized and aggregated information, for instance which country you are browsing from. This is required to provide you with the right prices, currencies and shipping methods. We also track information about which pages are visited and for how long to understand how popular different products and pages are and be able to improve our service and offering.
